The Light One Candle blog is a place where we, members of IMNE, can share our thoughts, reflections, poetry, photos and more with the vision that one candle is all you need to light the way and when the light is shared, we can light the world.
Since I was a child, I have been enamored with the moon. At that time, I called it “the man in the moon", now, knowing better, I call it Bella Luna.
When I was struggling to find my way back in my 40’s, I wrote this poem to Bella Luna. I think it reflects how many of us see this amazing orb that circles our planet.
LUNA CONFESSIONS
Stepping into the Confessional of Night
The Heart opens.
Dreams too real to believe in
Come pouring out.
The silent Confessor
Neither absolves nor condemns…
But sits in the Cathedral of Midnight
Listening.
